Licensed Stallion AES 2006
By the worlds best jumper Baloubet du Rouet, out of an exceptional family, dam by leding sire Irco Mena, and being fullsister to the International winner Irco Miro Gii, also the dam of Drakikir G. This is an exceptional pedigree, and this quality horse show to be every bit the talented jumper that we could expect. A copy of his father, in looks and in his jumping. Very impressive jumper indeed! This horse was so powerful we had to take it easy as he often jumped so high over his fences, causing some problems for the rider to stay on. However he was making good progress with us and was also starting to jump internationally when unfortunately he changed hands, had an accident and had to be put down. Not very many progeny, but looks the type and very scopey. 7 year old Balou Marco Gii already prooving the point, after winning his first international class jumping 1.95m at Cavan International to be joint winner of the Puissance.

The sire Baloubet du Rouet, born 1991, chestnut, blaze, Selle Français.by Galoubet A out of Mesange du Rouet by Starter - Bel Avenir, and is maybe the worlds most famous stallion in this time. He was French Champion already at 7 years of age, and has won the World Cup three times in a row, in 1998, 1999 and 2000, something nobody else has done. The next two years he was 2nd and 3rd. Adding to this he also now has one Individual Gold medal in the Olympic Games. He is an extremely successful showjumper, and is ranked one of the worlds best horses. He is known to be very scopey and also very careful, and as a sire seem to leave quite a few progeny also jumping in the top sport.
The dam Miraeda G is the full sister to our very talented stallion Irco Miro G. Unfortunately she also had an accident as a twoyear old, where she damaged her hind quarter, and could not take to training, so was retained for breeding, after showing us a very impressive ability over fences loose.
The maternal sire, Irco Mena G, international
jumper, ridden first by his owner/breeder Ann Gustavii, and later
by Royne Zetterman, represented on several occasions his country in
Nations Cup, including WEG in Hague, where they were individual
22nd. Irco Mena were also on the Nations Cup team
in Luzern 1994, together with his full sister
Marcoville, when Sweden for the first time won the
Nations Cup for 45 years. The second time the two horses were
together, they repeated the victory. Marcoville,
ridden by Maria Gretzer, a well known international jumper, was
also 6th individual in the Olympic Games in Barcelona. Irco
Mena’s other full sister Mirca, combined
brood-mare duties with jumping internationally under the Belgian
rider Evelyn Blaton in WC and International Grand Prix.
Irco Mena is leading Young Horse sire since
1995 in Sweden, and has continued to be leading sire for
maybe 15 years in a row.
'
In 1998 he is the first stallion ever to have 4 offspring in World Championships for Young Horses in Lanaken representing Swedish breeding (of 16 in total). Irco Mena also is the highest rated stallion in Sweden, 32% winning progeny per covered mare! He also has many top progeny worldwide, such as Sultan V in UK.
Irco Mena’s sire Irco Marco, himself a well known international jumper, has been leading sire in Sweden for many years in a row, and is also the sire of several other international jumpers, including Chouman, 5th in WEG in Hague with Nelson Pessoa and Feliciano, ridden by Maria Gretzer. Irco Marco’s sire Irco Polo also jumped internationally under Paul Weier.
Irco Mena’s dam Ballymena Park was sister to Felton, well known international jumper under Buddy Brown, USA. Her sire Menelekxx and maternal sire Battle Burnxx (sire of Boomerang - Eddie Macken) were two world famous Irish thoroughbred sires of international jumpers.
The grand dam Mira Polo G, herself an impressive jumper, with a lovely, rounded, careful jump, is a "premature baby" and a remaining twin. She competed lightly, and impressed us so much, that we decided to keep her on for breeding. We have not regretted that, as her progeny all have her lovely mind, and all are talented jumpers.
Her sire Raldo Polo is an uncle to Irco Marco and was an international jumper himself. He was very lightly used, as he was never approved by any breeding studbook as a sire, but was a very careful and stylish jumper with a sweet temperament and a fantastic pedigree. He was by Marco Polo out of a dam by Sinaeda, the same succesful pedigree combination as Marius, such an international superstar with Caroline Bradley, Irco Polo, international jumper with Paul Weier and father to Irco Marco, and international jumping stallions Recruut, Interpol, and many others.
Great grandmother Mirca G, was an international jumper under Evelyn Blaton, with placings in International Grand Prix's and World Cup, for a short period of her life. Her name then was Optiebeurs Mirca, and she was jumping for the Paul Schockemoehle stables. Apart from that she has been used as a broodmare at our stud. She is the full sister to Marcoville and Irco Mena, and prooves the genetic value of this succesful blood combination.

A lovely willing horse to work, showed a lot of interest, but very babyish and slow to mature. He was very scopey, always jumped in a perfect style, lovely technique, opened up very well behind and was observant and careful. Before his premature death, he had just started jumping International, as if he had done nothing else. Very uncomplicated horse to ride.
We are really pleased with his progeny, and as he was such a fantastic jumper, we will use him again on our own mares. This as we also have frozen his semen, of very good quality. 7 year old Balou Marco Gii already prooving the point, after winning his first international class jumping 1.95m at Cavan International to be joint winner of the Puissance. Earlier this year he jumped 2.10m in the Omagh Puissance.
A big rangy horse, a good frame, light in built, and with a lovely, uncomplicated temperament. With his quality, ability and breeding he should be of interest for any breeder looking for true performance value. A copy of his famous father, both in looks and in the way he jumps.
